Dr. Lo's 2023 Chinese-language soup book, 《增強免疫力養生湯水》 ("Immunity-Boosting Wellness Soups") has been in quiet circulation at the clinic and through word of mouth — and over the past few months, we've heard the same thing from more than a few people: I'd love to read this, but I prefer reading in English.

This one's for you.

The English translation of 《增強免疫力養生湯水》is currently in progress. It isn't a stripped-down adaptation — it's a full translation, with everything the original has and a few things added specifically for English-language readers:

What's inside:

• Dr. Lo's original foreword from the 2023 version

• Translator's note

• A TCM concepts primer — so you understand why the recipes work, not just how to make them

• A glossary of TCM and herbal terms, with Cantonese romanisations so you can actually ask for ingredients at the herbalist or grocery store

• A visual photo index for important ingredients

The Cantonese romanisations in particular are something we put real thought into. If you grew up speaking Cantonese but read it less fluently now, you'll be able to pronounce and recognise ingredients the way you always have.

Cover design is in its final stages, and small details may still shift. The manuscript is nearing completion, with print targeted later this year. The Chinese edition is available now through the clinic or via the shop on this website.
